Studied at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen 1970 - 1974; Studied at Hospitalfield House, Arbroath 1973; Post - Diploma 1974 - 1975; Travelling Scholarships to Italy 1976; Scottish Arts Council Award 1980; Scottish Arts Council Printmaking Bursary 1982; Elected RSW 1984; Elected PPRSW 2005; Elected RGI 2009

Paisley Art Institute Bessie Scott Award 2007; May Marshall Brown Award, RSW 2000; May Marshall Brown Award, RSW 1994; EIS Award, RSW 1984; Meyer Oppenheim Prize, RSA 1982; RSA Keith Prize 1975
