Education:

Studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1953-1958.

 

Profile:

He has been an interior designer and furniture designer and has held various teaching appointments at Glasgow School of Art. He is a past president of the Glasgow Art Club and until recently Honorary Secretary of the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and its hanger. He was elected a painting member of the Royal Glasgow Institute in 1987.

D W T Cargill Award RGI 1985 and 1992; Macfarlane Charitable Trust Award RGI 1985; Clydesdale Bank Award RGI 1986; The Teachers Whisky Travel Scholarship RGI 1992; The Alexander Stone Foundation RGI 1994.

HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Macfarlane Charitable Trust, Arthur Andersen, Teachers Whisky, and works in private collections in America, United Kingdom, Europe, South Africa and Hong Kong.
