Profile:

With my wife, Anda Paterson, I spend the winters painting in Andalucia and Southern Portugal. The changing mood of sky and shore is my dominant theme both in Iberia and the west coast of Scotland. These are mainly painted as large watercolours. A contrasting theme is the drama of the boxing ring, which I translate into large woodcuts and small oil paintings.
