| ABOUT THE RGI KELLY GALLERY |

The Royal Glasgow Institute Kelly Gallery which has been owned and operated by the Institute since it was gifted in 1965 offers a lively programme of exhibitions throughout the year and increasingly hosts lectures and artist demonstrations.

Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Fund and the Scottish Arts Council with additional support from Arthur Andersen the Gallery was completely refurbished in 1996. The refurbishment means modern facilities, an attractive fascia and state-of-the-art lighting, offering city centre accommodation for small to medium sized shows of contemporary work. Artists and groups are invited to hire the venue for periods of two weeks or more.

OTHER GALLERY EVENTS

The RGI Kelly Gallery plays home to a vibrant series of events throughout the year - including series of lunchtime lectures in Spring and Autumn, with talks and demonstrations by practising artists and other luminaries associated with the arts.

An annual feature of ‘the Big Draw’ is held in October. Regular events are being planned for those interested in photography and architecture.

New funded opportunities are being planned for emerging Scottish Artists at the outset of their careers to stage their first solo or dual show - please contact the Kelly Gallery Curator and Project Manager for updated information.

The space is also suitable for hire for corporate events and has digital projection facilities.

For further details on selection and hiring, or, for information on exhibitions and lectures already planned contact the Kelly Gallery Curator and Project Manager.
