RGI 2009 Annual Exhibition, Prizewinners

 

 

Inverarity One to One Travel Award

Cash prize of £2,000 and a commission to produce work for an own label Inverarity Vaults wine. In association with the Champagne house Louis Roederer there will be a week spent at their chateau with a further week in the Champagne region also. The work will be purchased for the Inverarity Vaults collection. The winner will also have a solo exhibition in The RGI Kelly Gallery. The project is supported by an Arts & Business Scottish Executive New Arts Sponsorship Award.

Rosalind Lawless - 'Hollow Space'

 

The N S Macfarlane Charitable Trust Award £1000

The award will be given to a painting or sculpture by any artist exhibiting at the Exhibition for the first time.

Justin Butcher - 'Keys of Life Series: Leap of Faith'

 

The David Cargill Award £2000

All works are eligible for a prize of £2000 and for artists under 35 a prize of £1000

Rory McLauchlan - 'Church at Crossmichael'

Landscape or Still Life work of distinction by a young painter.

Work of distinction by a young artist.

Catharine Davison - 'Warriston Allotments, Late Summer'

Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts Exhibition £500

For a recent Scottish art college graduate, towards costs of a two-week exhibition rent free in the Royal Glasgow Institute Kelly Gallery.
